WTW hires surety execs from Marsh, Hartford

Willis Towers Watson PLC said Wednesday it has recruited two surety executives – one from Marsh LLC and one from Hartford Financial Services Group Inc. – to its North American corporate risk and broking business.

Thomas Rhatigan was appointed Northeast senior director and commercial surety leader for corporate risk and broking, a newly created position. He was previously managing director and head of the Northeast surety practice at Marsh.

Mr. Rhatigan, based in Short Hills, New Jersey, will report to Scott Hull, global head of surety at WTW.

Daniel Peck, previously regional surety leader at Hartford, has also joined WTW as director and New England contract surety leader, a newly created position.

Mr. Peck, based in Boston, will report to Douglas Wheeler, contract surety leader, for corporate risk and broking North America.
