UK pub firm sues insurers over business interruption claim

U.K.-based pub firm Fuller, Smith & Turner PLC has filed a lawsuit against insurers Aviva PLC and Liberty Mutual Insurance Co. in a U.K. commercial court in a dispute over a business interruption claim, City A.M. reported. Fuller was forced to shut down all its pubs in the country during the COVID-19-led lockdowns, resulting in an annual loss of £59.2 million ($71.7 million). The lawsuit follows many others similar claims filed against insurers who were reluctant to pay out for losses.
