Turkey quake expected to bring uncertainties to global shipping

Bai Ming, deputy director at the Chinese Academy of International Trade and Economic Cooperation, said that the devastating earthquake in Turkey will have a significant impact on the country's supply chain and bring uncertainties to global shipping, due to its position as an important waterway, Global Times reported. Major container hub Iskenderun Port was damaged after a fire engulfed hundreds of shipping containers following the quake, leading to the shutdown of all operations until further notice.
