Wildfires engulf 270,000 hectares of forests in Chile

Wildfires have destroyed 270,000 hectares of forests and farmland in Chile, forcing the government to issue emergency in the rural southern regions, ABC News reported. There were 260 active fires across the parched region, with 28 of them considered especially dangerous.
