U.S. spends most on health care, but has lower life expectancy: Study

The United States has both the lowest life expectancy compared to other wealthy nations and the highest rate for avoidable deaths, but also spends the most on health care, a new study finds, reports Fierce Healthcare. The study, released Jan 31 by the Commonwealth Fund, also found that the United States has the highest infant and maternal mortality rates as well as deaths by assault.
