PCF acquires Louisiana-based specialist broker

PCF Insurance Services said Wednesday it has acquired Oak Point Risk Advisors, based in Thibodaux, Louisiana.

Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

Oak Point specializes in commercial insurance for the maritime, oil and gas, and construction industries, PCF said in a statement. Its website shows 12 employees.

Peter C. Foy, founder, chairman and CEO of PCF Insurance, said in the statement that Oak Point has “a unique and deep understanding of the risks businesses along the Gulf Coast face.”

Lehi, Utah-based PCF Insurance is the 20th largest broker of U.S business, according to the most recent Business Insurance ranking.
