HDI Global names captive leader

HDI Global Insurance Co. (HDI Global USA) said Tuesday it has hired former Amazon.com Inc. executive Jason Tyng as lead of captive solutions.

He will report to Marco Hensel, underwriting lead, HDI Global USA, in the newly created role.

Mr. Tyng, who is based in Chicago, most recently served as head of construction risk at Amazon, where he handled placement of international and domestic programs.

Chicago-based HDI Global Insurance Co. is part of HDI Global SE, based in Hanover, Germany.
