Direct Line chief steps down after profit warning

U.K.-based insurer Direct Line Insurance Group PLC's chief executive Penny James is stepping down with immediate effect, shortly after a surprise profit warning, Proactive Investors reported. Direct Line has commenced its search for a new successor, while appointing Jon Greenwood, current chief commercial officer, as the acting chief.
