Elevance Health reports 9% jump in fourth quarter revenues

Elevance Health Inc. reported that its fourth-quarter revenues jumped 9% to $39.9 billion compared to $36.6 billion a year ago, as the health insurer benefited from higher premiums and growth in Medicaid and Medicare Advantage business, Forbes reports. Its fourth-quarter profits, meanwhile, slid 16.5% to $949 million in the quarter. Elevance operates an array of government and commercial health insurance including Blue Cross and Blue Shield plans in 14 states.
