Mount Anak Krakatau volcano erupts

The Geological Agency of the Energy and Mineral Resources said that Mount Anak Krakatau in Lampung Province, Indonesia erupted three times on Jan. 24, spewing an ash column that reached approximately 350 meters high, Tempo.co reported. The active volcano had erupted twice on Jan. 23, prompting the agency to maintain the volcano's alert status at "Level III".
