MGA launches property cover for renewable energy assets

San Francisco-based managing general agency kWh Analytics Inc. on Tuesday launched a property coverage for renewable energy assets with capacity provided by Aspen Insurance Co.

The physical damage coverage for solar and other renewable projects provides up to $75 million in policy limits.

The coverage introduces capacity to a rapidly growing industry at a time when traditional insurers are tightening their portfolio exposures, kWh said in a statement.

kWh also leverages data from its database of over 300,000 renewable energy assets to encourage more resilient design practices.
