UK's Pool Re scheme may be extended to cover cyber attacks

The U.K. government-backed terrorism reinsurer Pool Reinsurance Co. Ltd. may extend its coverage to include state-sponsored and war-related cyber attacks, Tech Monitor reported. Insurers are struggling to adapt to the growing cyber threat facing businesses and many insurers are not willing to underwrite these risks due to fears of heavy losses.
