7.3-magitude earthquake jolts Philippines

The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said that a 7.3-magitude earthquake struck the southern Philippines on Jan. 18, with tremors also felt in several areas of Mindanao, Goa Chronicle reported. The tectonic quake is expected to trigger aftershocks and cause damage, according to the institute.
