Tropical cyclone batters Vanuatu's capital

Tropical Cyclone Irene battered Vanuatu's capital Port Vila on Jan. 19, causing floods, power cuts and unpassable roads in some areas, RNZ reported. Air Vanuatu Operations Ltd. also cancelled international and domestic flights on both Jan. 19 and Jan. 20 for safety reasons.
