Strikes expected to disrupt businesses in France

The nationwide strikes in France on Jan. 19 are expected to severely disrupt businesses and public transport as workers join protests against the government's planned pension reform that would see the retirement age pushed up by two years to 64, Reuters reported. French multi-energy company TotalEnergies SE will not be able to ship any refined oil products from its refinery in Dunkirk as its workers join the action.
