China's chip imports fall 15% over supply chain disruption

China's chip imports fell 15.3% year-on-year to 538.4 billion units in 2022 due to supply chain disruptions as a result of the country’s zero-COVID-19 approach and U.S. export restrictions, South China Morning Post reported. The imports started to shrink in early 2022, marking a sharp reversal from strong growth seen in the prior two years.
