WTW merges Asia and Australasia operations

U.K.-based insurance broker Willis Towers Watson PLC has combined its Australasia and Asia operations into one Asia Pacific unit, effective Jan. 1 to unlock potential synergies across markets and boost operational efficiency, Reinsurance News reported. As a result of the merger, Simon Weaver, former head of Australasia, has taken on the new role as head of Asia Pacific.
