Car sales in Russia see major decline amid sanctions

According to the Association of European Businesses, car sales in Russia fell by 59% in 2022 following the imposition of western sanctions on the country that have hampered production, Reuters reported. Many auto manufacturers in Russia have had to halt production for days as they found it difficult to source parts and establish new supply chains.
