International airport in Peru closed as protests increase

The international airport in Peru's tourist hub Cusco closed again on Jan. 12 due to increased anti-government protests that followed the impeachment of the country’s former president, Yahoo Finance reported citing Reuters. The violent riots forced the airport to ground flights for several days in December 2022.
