Copper plates worth $4.4 million stolen in Chile

Authorities in Chile are investigating a recent theft that involved 13 shipping containers from copper producer Corporacion Nacional del Cobre de Chile at the San Antonio seaport, with 12 containers carrying copper plates worth $4.4 million, Reuters reported. The copper was scheduled to be exported and was also insured.
