Reinsurers' underwriting margins to grow in 2023: Fitch

U.S.-based Fitch Ratings Inc. said that reinsurers' underwriting margins after retrocession will expand by four percentage points on average in 2023 due to a sharp increases in premium rates and stricter terms, Reinsurance News reported. The global reinsurance industry reached a tipping point during the January renewals, as their bargaining power with cedents moved substantially in reinsurers’ favor.
