7.2-magnitude quake jolts Vanuatu

The U.S. Geological Survey said that a 7.2-magnitude earthquake struck the Pacific archipelago of Vanuatu on Jan. 8, triggering a tsunami warning, NZ Herald reports citing The Associated Press. The quake was centered 14 miles from Port Olry and hit at a depth of nearly 17 miles.
