Indian court refuses relief to Google over $162 million fine

An Indian court has rejected Google LLC’s plea to reverse an antitrust ruling that ordered the firm to change its approach to its Android platform and pay a $162 million fine, Nikkei Asia reported citing Reuters. The Competition Commission of India fined Google in October 2021 for anticompetitive practices and asked it to change curbs on smartphone makers related to preinstalling apps.
