Insurance plays key role in successful wind projects: Scor partner

James McCallum, head of insurance at U.K.-based renewable energy firm SSE Renewables, said that insurance and reinsurance are a key part of allowing renewable energy companies to develop wind and other clean energy projects successfully, Reinsurance News reported. SSE Renewables has developed a partnership with French reinsurer Scor SE over the past few years to provide coverage for its renewable projects, particularly in the offshore wind space.
