Canadian copper producer suffers major ransomware attack

A major ransomware attack has hit Canada-based Copper Mountain Mining Corp., forcing the firm to put its treatment plant on preventative shutdown, Small Caps reported. Metal producers might be a new target for ransomware criminals as the recent event follows a cyber attack on another mining firm in October 2022.
