E-commerce firm fined $48 million for violating competition rules

The Office of Competition and Consumer Protection of Poland has fined e-commerce firm Allegro Sp. Z o.o. $48 million for violating competition rules and its own terms and conditions, Reuters reported. The anti-monopoly watchdog said the company had favored its own online store on the Allegro.pl platform at the expense of independent traders who offered the same or similar products.
