UK braces for extreme weather

The U.K. Meteorological Office is expecting ice, heavy rain and potential flooding in parts of the country, with a warning issued for disrupted power supplies and travel delays, Sky News reports. The Environment Agency issued 31 flood alerts on Dec. 28 for several areas including southwest England with blustery showers across the U.K. on Dec. 29.
