Natural disasters cost $168 billion in damage

A report by U.K.-based charity Christian Aid found that global insured damages from the 10 costliest weather disasters reached €158 billion ($168 billion) this year, Irish Examiner reported. The figure reflected the impacts of calamities ranging from Hurricane Ian in the U.S. and Cuba that racked up €100 billion in damages, to the worst drought in Europe that caused €20 billion in losses.
