Surge in COVID cases in China disrupt supply chains again

Increasing COVID-19 cases in China are causing supply chain disruptions again as manufacturers shut down their plants totally or reduce production due to infections among the workforce, Nasdaq reports. Noah Fraser, managing director at the Canada-China Business Council, said a shortage of staff has hit retail and client-facing sectors, with manufacturers facing the same issues because of soaring illness.
