NFP hires construction executive from Marsh

NFP Corp. on Wednesday said former Marsh LLC executive Andrew Canning has joined NFP as senior vice president and head of project risk advisory, for the company’s North America construction & infrastructure group, part of NFP’s specialty business.

Mr. Canning will be based in New York and focus on insurance and analytics tools to support risk management strategies for construction and infrastructure projects in North America in collaboration with Chris Smith, NFP senior vice president and head of project risk who is also part of the company’s construction & infrastructure group.

Mr. Canning was most recently managing director at Marsh, where he led the construction team providing coverage for clients’ projects and practice risks. Previously, he had also served as senior vice president at Aon Risk Services.
