Mississippi Blues, UMiss Medical Center end long-running contract dispute

Blue Cross & Blue Shield of Mississippi and the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson have reached a contract agreement, ending one of the more intense payer-provider disputes of 2022, reports Becker’s Payer Issues. Terms of the in-network agreement are mostly confidential but went into effect Dec. 15 and includes all UMMC facilities and medical professionals for commercial, federal and out-of-state BCBS plans.
