SCAN Group and CareOregon health plans to merge

SCAN Group and CareOregon announced that they will combine under the name HealthRight Group with estimated combined revenues of $6.8 billion and nearly 800,000 members, reports Healthpayer Intelligence. The two health care payers expect the transaction to close in 2023 and, once closed, the combined companies will form a nonprofit health care organization that serves Medicare and Medicaid beneficiaries.
