Most telehealth visits do not require in-person follow-up with doc: Research

Most patients who had a telehealth visit didn’t need an in-person follow-up appointment in the next three months, a trend reflected in almost every specialty included in a new research study from Epic Research, reports Healthcare Dive. For specialties that required follow-ups, the additional visits were likely due to patients needing additional, not duplicative, care.
