Several Chinese dealerships are seeking 900 million Chinese yuan ($130 million) in compensation from Dutch carmaker Stellantis NV for losses resulting from Stellantis’ "unilateral" decision to stop production of Jeep cars in China and terminate partnerships with local dealers, Reuters reported. Stellantis filed for bankruptcy of its Jeep joint-venture with Chinese partner Guangzhou Automobile Group in October. This affected local Chinese dealers of Jeep cars and led to business losses and layoffs.
