Facebook sued for $2 billion for alleged role in inciting political violence

A class-action lawsuit has been filed against Facebook in Kenya, accusing the social media company of playing a role in inciting political violence in Africa, Yahoo News reported citing NBC News. The plaintiffs are demanding more than $2 billion in restitution from Facebook for victims of hate and violence incited through Facebook posts, and are also demanding further strengthening of Facebook’s content moderation efforts.
