Descartes Underwriting launches new parametric insurer

French parametric insurance managing general agent, Descartes Underwriting SAS has launched a full-stack parametric insurance entity called Descartes Insurance, which has been licensed to issue policies directly to mid-market clients in France, Artemis reported. Descartes plans to expand its newly launched insurer in other European Economic Area countries in 2023.
