Nonlife premiums increase 22% in India

Data from the General Insurance Council of India showed that nonlife insurers’ gross direct premiums increased 22% year-on-year to nearly 192 billion Indian rupees ($2.33 billion) in November, The Financial Express reported. New India Assurance Co. Ltd. saw a 5.62% increase in written premiums.
