Centene to pay Oregon $17 million in latest settlement of overcharging claims

Centene Corp. will pay Oregon $17 million to settle allegations the health insurer overcharged the state's Medicaid program for pharmaceutical services, Becker’s Payer Issues reports. The insurer has settled with several other states over similar allegations, including Arkansas, Illinois, Kansas, Massachusetts, Mississippi, New Hampshire, New Mexico, Ohio, Texas and Washington.
