Heavy rains, floods trigger ‘red’ alert in Portugal

Portuguese weather agency raised “red” weather warning in Portugal’s capital Lisbon and neighboring regions of Santarem and Algarve on Dec. 7, as heavy rains and floods inundated several buildings and roads, Reuters reported. The intense rains and floods caused travel disruptions and killed at least one person.
