Korean Re to stop reinsurance coverage for coal projects

South Korea-based reinsurer Korean Reinsurance Co. will stop providing reinsurance coverage for new coal mining or coal-fired power plant construction starting Jan. 1, 2023, Reinsurance News reported. This latest move follows similar declarations from major reinsurers around providing coverage for fossil fuel-related activities.
