Complete removal of insurers’ obligatory cession to GIC Re recommended

A committee appointed by the Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority of India has recommended that the percentage of obligatory cession that general insurers must cede to state-owned General Insurance Corporation of India should be reduced to zero from the current 4%, Asia Insurance Review reported citing Business Standard.
