Foxconn’s sales drop 11% as COVID lockdown, workers’ protest bite

Taiwanese electronics manufacturer Foxconn Technology Co. Ltd., which produces Apple iPhones, posted more than 11% year-on-year decline in sales in November as production at its Chinese factory suffered due to the fallout from the mainland’s strict COVID-19 lockdowns, The Hindu reported citing Bloomberg. Stringent lockdowns, worker exodus and violent protests disrupted production at Foxconn’s Zhengzhou plant, which is the world’s largest iPhone factory.
