Amwins names transportation practice leader

Specialty wholesaler Amwins Group Inc. on Monday named Jennifer Nuest to the newly created position of transportation practice leader, effective immediately.

Ms. Nuest will coordinate with other practice leaders including casualty, property and professional lines to help provide coverage for Amwins’ transportation clients, a statement said. She will be based in Indianapolis and is reporting to brokerage President Jeff McNatt, according to an email from a spokeswoman.

Ms. Nuest was most recently business development manager for Nirvana Insurance in Indianapolis.

Amwins said it places over $2 billion in annual premium in the transportation sector and has 20 in-house products and programs.
