More than two dozen Taylor Swift fans are suing Ticketmaster parent Live Nation Entertainment Inc. for “unlawful conduct,” claiming the ticketing giant violated antitrust laws, among other violations, CNN reported.

As reported in recent weeks, chaotic issues with pre-sale tickets for Ms. Swift’s “The Eras Tour” frustrated fans across the country, as many were sent a presale code, which snarled the website in minutes, canceling purchases over “extraordinarily high demand” and “insufficient remaining ticket inventory.”

And the Swifties were swift to fight back.

The lawsuit, filed in a California court on Friday, claims that the concert companies were anti-competitive, imposing higher prices on fans in the presale, sale and resale market. It claims Ticketmaster forces concertgoers to exclusively use its site and controlled all registration and access to Ms. Swift’s tour, which was so, like, not fair.

They are seeking a penalty of $2,500 for each ticket, or “violation.”

The lawsuit also claimed that since Ticketmaster has agreements with the large stadiums in the tour, Ms. Swift “has no choice” but to work with Ticketmaster. It also alleges that Ticketmaster profits off the resale of tickets in the secondary market by adding a service fee to its fan-to-fan exchange.
