Florida Blues targets SME employers with value-based care HMO

Blue Cross & Blue Shield of Florida has launched a new health maintenance organization aimed at providing affordable group coverage for small and mid-size businesses in West Florida, reports the Tampa Bay Business Journal. The new Truli for Health collaborates with physician groups and health systems in each of the markets it serves, designating the health care organizations as “anchor providers,” and reimburses its primary care physicians and health systems for value-based care, aligning payment with the quality and total cost of care for the population.
