Insurers’ underwriting results to recover in 2023: Fitch

U.S.-based Fitch Ratings Inc. predicts that underwriting performance of Japanese insurers will most likely recover in 2023 as the negative impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic subside, Asia Insurance Review reported. Fitch noted that the insurers continued to have large exposure to financial market risks, and any stress in financial markets could hurt their capital adequacy.
