Insurers face $8 billion in claims over jets stuck in Russia

Several insurers are now facing aggregate claims of around $8 billion from aircraft lessors for their jets that stuck in Russia due to the Ukraine war, U.K. Time News reported. Aircraft lessors, including AerCap Holdings NV, SMBC Aviation Capital and CDB Aviation, have sued insurers Lloyd’s of London and Chubb Ltd. among others to recover the losses resulting from over 400 jets that are trapped in Russia.
