Outlook for reinsurance market remains ‘stable’: AM Best

A report by A.M. Best Co. Inc. said that reinsurance market conditions are highly uncertain, with positive and negative factors offsetting one another, Asia Insurance Review reported. Underwriters are facing challenging conditions driven by increased natural catastrophe activity, claims inflation, economic uncertainty and geopolitical tensions, all of which are counterbalanced by growing demand for reinsurance, continued increases in premium rates and tighter terms and conditions.
