Sompo hires from AIG for field management role

Sompo International Holdings Ltd. said Wednesday it has recruited former American International Group Inc. executive Ron Willett as executive vice president, field management for its North America commercial insurance business.

Mr. Willett, based in Boston, will report to Jonathan Monks, executive vice president, head of distribution, business development and client engagement for North America.

In the newly created role, Mr. Willett will lead the geographic expansion efforts and continue to build the field infrastructure for the North America commercial insurance business.

Mr. Willett was most recently North American retail distribution leader at AIG, where he has worked for the past 26 years.
