Hannover Re fronting for over 1,500 ILS participations

German reinsurer Hannover Re SE is fronting for investors in more than 1,500 participations in insurance-linked securities and funds as of the third quarter, Artemis reported. Premiums fronted for the collateralized reinsurance side of Hannover Re’s insurance-linked securities facilitation business have grown at a compound annual rate of 21% over the last five years.
